Momentum kids camp

This year marks our 5th year anniversary of the Momentum Mountain Bike Camp for kids. At the inception of the camp our goal was to create an experience for kids of all ability levels, genders and ages, that will help build confidence, friendship and a skill set that can be used both on and off the bike. We know that positive experiences on the bike are essential to having kids (and adults) wanting to ride more. In our 5th year we will continue be adding in more skills curriculum, team building games, bicycle mechanical experiences and other fun activities!

Our Momentum MTB Kid’s Camp was in such high demand last year that we are expanding our options – while maintaining the tenets of our camp:

  • Fun
  • Safety
  • Improving Skills
  • Increased Confidence on (and off) a bike
  • Increased independence on two wheels

Fast Facts:

  • 3 day and 5 day options
  • Camps will be running weekly from June 24th to July 30th
  • Beginner to Advanced Riders
  • Ages 5 - 14
  • Lunch and snack are included daily
  • Runs daily from 9 am to 1 pm
  • Professional, safe, skilled instructors with years of combined experience!
  • All instructors are subject to an above industry standard background check, have at least their Wilderness First Aid certification and complete our thorough training curriculum

Group Descriptions

  • Suggested ages 5 – 6
  • Getting into mountain biking and in general getting more comfortable on a bike.
  • Can ride with long breaks as needed for an hour to 1.5 hours at a time.
  • Suggested ages 6 – 8 (or 5 – 6 for Youngsters Advanced)
  • New to mountain biking, limited experience or no experience on a mountain bike. comfortable on a bike.
  • Can ride with long breaks for 2 hours at a time.
  • Suggested ages 6 – 8.
  • Fairly experienced with mountain biking, have ridden mountain bike trails regularly.
  • Can ride with long breaks for 2 hours at a time.
  • Suggested ages 9 – 11
  • New to mountain biking, limited experience or no experience on a mountain bike.
  • Can ride with long breaks for 2+ hours at a time.
  • Suggested ages 9 – 11
  • Fairly experienced with mountain biking, goes riding regularly.
  • Can ride with short breaks for 2+ hours without a problem.
  • Suggested ages 12 – 14
  • New to mountain biking, limited experience or no experience on a mountain bike.
  • Can ride with long(er) breaks for 2+ hours at a time.
  • Suggested ages 12 – 14 (or 9 – 11 for Youth Advanced)
  • Experienced with mountain biking, goes riding regularly.
  • Can ride with short breaks for 2+ hours without a problem.
  • Suggested ages 13 +14
  • Very experienced mountain biker.
  • Rides regularly and can ride for 3+ hours with short breaks.
